We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Office Administrator to join our small friendly team at the Tor Bay Harbour Authority that manage Torquay, Paignton and Brixham Harbours. Under the direction of the Admin Support Team Leader, you will assist in managing a full range of administrative and financial matters to ensure the smooth operation and efficiency of our services. This job is a fixed term contract for 1 year.
You will be part of a supportive team dedicated to maintaining the highest standards, efficiency and creativity in all aspects of our work. If you are a proactive and friendly individual with a passion for administrative excellence, that would enjoy working in this exciting and diverse maritime environment we would love to hear from you.
This position is for a fixed term of 12 months from the start date.

Skills
Essential:
- A methodical and flexible approach to work, willing and able to work in various sections as workload dictates.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of team.
- Effective and efficient organisational skills to include time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective and efficient word processing and excel skills.
Knowledge
Essential:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems.
- General knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety.
- General knowledge of reporting and data analysis.
- Have an understanding of working within the application of financial codes.
- Be able to delegate the resource to complete the end of year accounting.
Essential:
- Previous experience of ensuring successful high standard of customer service and care.
- Fully computer literate with supporting qualifications.
- Use of word processors, spreadsheets, and other software systems.
- Experience of handling cash.
- Educated to GCSE at grade C (maths and English) or equivalent knowledge and experience.
